About the NH ChernobylZone map

NH ChernobylZone (STALKER NewHorizon ChernobylZone) is a community map that rebuilds the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Chernobyl Exclusion Zone for DayZ. Across a very large terrain of roughly 420 square kilometers it recreates the iconic Zone: the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (CHAES), the abandoned city of Pripyat, the stalker hub of Rostok, the colossal Duga over-the-horizon radar and the beached Skadovsk ship in the Zaton marshes.

What sets it apart are its Zone mechanics: anomalies you reveal by throwing bolts, artifacts you hunt with a detector, creeping radiation that forces protective gear, mutants in the fog and STALKER faction roleplay. Use this interactive NH ChernobylZone map to plan routes across the huge terrain, find military zones, anomaly fields and stalker hubs, search for any item by name, toggle marker and loot layers, and measure distances with the built-in ruler.

Key locations in the Zone

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Zone rebuilt for DayZ — the power plant, Pripyat, the stalker hubs and the Duga radar, spread across a huge ~420 km² map. Click a place to jump straight to it on the map.

The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant — the heart of the Zone and its ultimate destination. Heavily irradiated and dangerous, it anchors the far end of the map and the endgame; bring full anti-radiation protection before you approach.

Pripyat

The abandoned city near the plant — high-rise blocks, the Jupiter factory and dense urban loot. It is deep in the most dangerous part of the Zone, so it rewards well-equipped, well-protected stalkers and punishes the careless.

Rostok

The central industrial district and the Zone's classic stalker hub (home of "the Bar"). A natural meeting and trading point on most servers and a good orientation anchor in the middle of the map.

RLS Duga radar

The colossal "Russian Woodpecker" over-the-horizon radar antenna — one of the Zone's most iconic landmarks, visible from far away. A great navigation reference and a dramatic, loot-worthy stop.

Skadovsk (Zaton)

The beached cargo ship Skadovsk down in the Zaton marshes — a famous stalker shelter and trading post from the games. A characterful safe-ish hub in the far north, surrounded by anomaly-strewn wetlands.

The Agroprom Research Institute in the south-west — a fortified complex with underground tunnels, military loot and heavy stalker history. Contested and dangerous, but a strong mid-tier gear stop.

Svalka (The Garbage)

The Garbage — a sprawling junkyard of wrecked vehicles, scrap and machinery (including the Zone's huge excavators). Good scavenging and a classic early-Zone crossroads, but open and easy to get ambushed in.

Surviving the Zone

Anomalies, artifacts & detectors

Anomalies, artifacts & detectors

The Zone is full of anomalies — invisible or shimmering pockets of deadly physics that crush, burn or electrocute. The classic stalker trick is to throw bolts to reveal them before you step through. Hidden in and around anomaly fields are artifacts, found with a detector; they are valuable but many carry radiation, so balance the reward against the dose.

Radiation & the deep Zone

Radiation & the deep Zone

Radiation is a constant threat the deeper you push. Hotspots, contaminated buildings and the area around CHAES will steadily poison you without protection — carry a gas mask with filters, anti-rad gear and medical supplies, and watch your dose as you head for the power plant.

Stalkers, factions & the Bar

Stalkers, factions & the Bar

The map leans into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. lore: stalker hideouts, faction iconography and trading hubs like the Bar at Rostok and the Skadovsk in Zaton. Servers often build roleplay, trading and faction play on top of it, so the social map matters as much as the loot map.

Mutants & the wild Zone

Mutants & the wild Zone

Beyond regular infected, the Zone is home to its own mutants and strange growths. Combined with fog, rain and a huge, forested map, travel is slow and tense — move between cover, keep a light for the dark interiors, and never assume an empty-looking field is safe.

Where to loot in the Zone

  • Best loot: the military areas, Agroprom, Pripyat and the deep, irradiated zone around CHAES.
  • Artifacts: search in and around anomaly fields with a detector — high value, often radioactive.
  • Trading & gearing up: the stalker hubs (Rostok / the Bar, Skadovsk in Zaton) and the larger settlements.
  • Search the map for an item to highlight where its loot zones overlap in the Zone.

Survival & route tips

  • It is a huge ~420 km² Zone — plan vehicle routes and use the distance ruler above for long crossings.
  • Carry a gas mask, filters and anti-rad supplies before going deep — radiation, not bullets, kills most new stalkers.
  • Throw bolts to find anomalies before you walk into them, and use a detector to pull artifacts from the edges.
  • Use the stalker hubs (Rostok, Skadovsk) to regroup and trade — the Zone rewards preparation over rushing.

Search the map for these

Type any of these into the search box on the interactive map above to highlight where its loot zones overlap (exact loot can vary by server):
