Manage your DayZ server from the browser - Titan Server Manager

Titan Server Manager is a free, server-side DayZ mod (Steam Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3768151439) that connects your server to the admin panel on dayz-launcher.com. From then on you run the server from your browser: see who is online and where they are on the map, look inside a player's inventory, move and repair vehicles, set the weather, schedule restarts with a warning message, and issue bans - without sitting at the server machine or opening a remote desktop session. The dashboard is available after login: you sign in on dayz-launcher.com with your Steam account, and the interface only shows the servers your account has been granted access to.

What the DayZ admin panel can do with the mod

15

The live half of the dashboard runs on the mod. Without it the panel can only fall back to RCON: you still get kicks, issuing bans, broadcast server messages, direct messages and raw RCON commands - but there are no positions on the map, no inventories, no item or vehicle actions, and no time or weather control.

Installation and access

  1. Installing the mod

    Installing the mod

    • Panel TitanMod

Titan Server Manager is a server-side mod: players do not have to install anything, it only goes on the server. Steam Workshop ID: 3768151439, size 2.4 MB.

The mod can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3768151439

Add it to your server, then start the server once. The mod creates its own files on that first start - which is why it really does need one full run before you move on to the next step.

In the TitanMod panel of the dashboard you can check at any time whether the connection is alive and which capabilities the mod is reporting back.

  2. How to get access to the dashboard

If you run your server with the Titan Server Launcher, you can most likely skip this section: in that case the system automatically uses your own account. The launcher installation is tied to your dayz-launcher.com account, so it claims the server for your account on its own and picks up your Steam session from the launcher as your access - you never have to type in your Steam64 ID by hand.

So the steps below apply if the server is not running under the Titan Server Launcher - or if you want to give a second Steam account access as well. All you need is a Steam ID: there is no key, password or server ID to copy around.

    1. Install Titan Server Manager on the server and start the server once. That is when the mod creates its files.

    2. Open the admin file in the server's profile folder: ...\TitanLauncherBridge\admin.txt

    3. Replace the example number (76561198000000000) with your own Steam64 ID. One ID, on its own line. The Steam64 ID is the 17-digit number that starts with 7656119.

    4. Save the file and restart the server.

    5. Sign in on dayz-launcher.com with the same Steam account. The dashboard is only available after login - logged out there is no admin interface, and nobody else can see your server's dashboard either. Once you are in, your server appears under My Servers, and the panel opens from there.

Good to know: only the Steam64 ID is needed. You never enter a server ID, API key or password - the mod configures those itself. It uses a single Steam ID, and it ignores the example ID left in the file, so nothing happens until you put a real one in.

If the dashboard does not show up: check that the Steam64 ID is correct (17 digits, starts with 7656119); that you really did restart the server after editing admin.txt; and that the mod loaded - the server log should contain this line: [TitanServermod] TitanLauncherBridge started.

Players and live map

  1. Live map - where everyone is right now

Live map - where everyone is right now

    • Panel Live Map

The dashboard uses the same detailed map as the public map on the site, and layers the live markers on top: players, vehicles, territory flags, world items you have searched for.

Clicking the map picks a coordinate, and the move and spawn forms then take that point over with a single click. You can also grab and drag the player and vehicle markers - the dashboard asks for confirmation before it actually moves them.

  2. Players - list and interventions

    Players - list and interventions

    • Panel Players

The live list shows who is online, where they connected from, where they are standing and what state they are in. From here you can send a direct message to a player, pull their inventory, teleport them or heal them.

Moderation lives here too: kick and - with a reason - kill. Dangerous actions ask for confirmation and are written to the log, so you can look up later who did what.

  3. Inventory - what a player is carrying

Inventory - what a player is carrying

    • Panel Inventory

The inventory lookup goes through the mod: you can see what a player is carrying, hand them an item, or take one away.

For support and troubleshooting this is the fastest route - you do not have to ask the player to list everything they have on them.

World, items, vehicles

  1. World items - search and cleanup

World items - search and cleanup

    • Panel Items

You can search for items dropped in the world and put the results on the map. From there you can move them, bring them to a player, or delete them.

You can also spawn an object at the selected coordinate - for events, built-up locations, or to replace something a player lost.

  2. Vehicles - moving and repairing

    Vehicles - moving and repairing

    • Panel Vehicles

The vehicle list shows what is where and in what condition. A vehicle can be moved, flipped back over if it rolled, repaired, refuelled, spawned and deleted.

The most common case is a stuck or flipped car: you drag the marker across the map, or type in a coordinate, and the vehicle ends up there.

  3. Weather and time

    Weather and time

    • Panel Weather

In-game weather and time of day can be set from the browser: fog, rain, wind, overcast, and the server time itself.

Handy for events - or simply when the server has been stuck in the same grey drizzle for days.

Day-to-day operations

  1. Chat - reading and replying

    Chat - reading and replying

    • Panel Chat

In-game chat can be read in the dashboard as well, and you can reply to players directly.

So you do not have to join the server just to answer a question or warn someone.

  2. Sending a server message - broadcast to everyone

Sending a server message - broadcast to everyone

    • Panel Schedule

A broadcast is a message shown to every player on the server. Use it when a restart is coming up, when you are announcing an event, or when you want to warn everyone at once. The message appears on the players' screens within a few seconds, and you never have to join the server.

Broadcasts go over RCON, so they work even when the Titan Server Manager mod is unavailable - it is one of the handful of actions that stay alive without the mod. If you only want to reach one person, the direct message on the Players panel is the better choice: that goes to that player only.

You do not have to send restart warnings by hand: you can set the scheduler to send them automatically - that is what the next section is about.

  3. Scheduled restarts - automatic restart with a warning countdown

Scheduled restarts - automatic restart with a warning countdown

    • Panel Schedule

Most DayZ servers restart several times a day to keep performance and loot in good shape. On the Scheduling panel you set this up once and it runs on its own from then on: you say when the server should restart, and how many minutes before that players should be warned.

The warning goes out as a broadcast countdown - for example at 60, 30, 15 and 5 minutes before the restart. That way the shutdown never catches anyone off guard, which heads off most of the complaints. You can also have the server kick the players who are still online at the end of the countdown and close the door before it actually restarts - so nobody loses items to an interrupted save.

One important detail: the scheduled restart is carried out on the server side, not by the mod, and that needs the Titan Server Launcher on the machine. The Manager shows and sets what should happen; the Launcher does it. The schedule can be changed at any time, and an upcoming restart can be skipped.

  4. Bans - issuing and lifting a ban

Bans - issuing and lifting a ban

    • Panel Player DB / Bans

Bans are handled on the Bans panel under Security. You can issue both permanent and timed bans: you give the player's Steam64 ID or name, the reason, and for a timed ban how long it should last. The reason is not a formality - it is what you see later in the list and in the log, when a month on nobody remembers why somebody was banned.

Issuing a ban goes over RCON, but lifting one goes through the Titan Server Launcher - these are two separate channels. That is why you can end up able to ban but not to unban: in that case the Launcher is not set up, or is currently unreachable. If you need both - and you usually do - it is worth installing the Launcher too.

The list can be filtered by status (active, expired, pending, permanent), and every ban is written to the log together with which of your admins issued it. On a server with several admins this is the single most important feature: you can still work out afterwards who decided what, and why.

  5. Protection - who is allowed onto the server

Protection - who is allowed onto the server

    • Panel Protection

Protection rules filter before players connect: blocking VPN and proxy connections, excluding mobile networks, country filtering, or requiring a minimum Steam account age. These catch most repeat harassers and throwaway accounts before they ever get in.

The rules take effect through the Titan Server Launcher; the dashboard only sets them and reads them back. They are worth handling with care: a country filter that is too strict can lock out your own players as well.

  6. Logs - what happened on the server

Logs - what happened on the server

    • Panel Logs

The tail of the server log can be read from the browser too, so you do not have to open a remote desktop session just to look at an error. For startup failures, mod conflicts and crashes this is the first place to check - it is also where you see the [TitanServermod] TitanLauncherBridge started. line that confirms the mod has loaded.

Actions taken in the dashboard are written to a separate event log as well: who issued a ban, who teleported a player, who restarted the server.

  7. How the Server Launcher complements it

The two tools do different jobs and do not replace one another. Titan Server Manager opens up the running world: players, inventories, items, vehicles, weather - everything that happens inside the game. Titan Server Launcher manages the server itself: starting and stopping, installing mods and syncing keys, configuration, backups, logs.

Look at the dashboard's capabilities and you can see it clearly: 41 actions come from the mod, 15 from the launcher, and the two sets do not overlap. The one interesting pair is banning: a ban is issued over RCON, but it is removed through the launcher - which is why it is worth setting up both.

The launcher has one more convenience: because its installation is tied to your dayz-launcher.com account, it claims the server for your account automatically and picks up your Steam session as well. So you do not have to configure access by hand - the admin.txt step is only needed if the server is not running under the launcher.

Each can be used on its own, but together they cover the whole job: the Manager what happens in the game, the Launcher what happens to the server.

FAQ

Titan Server Manager FAQ

FAQ
Where can I download the Titan Server Manager mod?

From the Steam Workshop, under ID 3768151439: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3768151439 - it is a server-side mod, 2.4 MB, free.

Where do I find the dashboard? Do I need to log in?

Yes, the interface is available after login. Sign in on dayz-launcher.com with your Steam account - the one that was granted access to the server - and your server appears under My Servers, which is where the dashboard opens from. Logged out there is no admin interface, and nobody but you can reach the panel.

Do players have to install the mod too?

No. This is a server-side mod, it only goes on the server. Players connect the usual way and have nothing to download.

Is it free?

Yes. Both the mod and the dashboard are free; all you need is a dayz-launcher.com account and the Steam ID you put in admin.txt.

What works without the mod?

Only the RCON basics: kick, issuing a ban, broadcast, direct message and raw RCON commands. Live positions, inventories, item and vehicle actions and weather control all come from the mod - without it none of those are available.

Do I need the Server Launcher as well?

Not for the live features. The launcher manages the server itself: start and stop, mod installation, configuration, backups, scheduled restarts and lifting bans. The two do different jobs, so it is worth setting up both.

The dashboard does not appear. What should I check?

Check the Steam64 ID in admin.txt (17 digits, starts with 7656119), restart the server after editing the file, and look for this line in the server log: [TitanServermod] TitanLauncherBridge started.

Where is admin.txt?

In the server's profile folder, in the TitanLauncherBridge directory. The mod creates it on the first server start, so you have to start the server once before you can edit it.

How do I set up a scheduled restart on a DayZ server?

On the Scheduling panel you set when the server should restart and how many minutes beforehand players should be warned. The warning goes out as a broadcast countdown, and at the end the server can kick any remaining players and close the door. Carrying it out requires the Titan Server Launcher on the machine.

How do I send a message to all players?

With a broadcast message, which shows the text to everyone on the server. It goes over RCON, so it works without the mod as well. If you only want to message a single player, use the direct message function on the Players panel.

How do I ban a player, and how do I lift the ban?

On the Bans panel you can issue a permanent or timed ban by Steam64 ID or name, with a reason. The ban is issued over RCON, but it is removed through the Titan Server Launcher - if unbanning is unavailable, the Launcher is not set up.

I have several admins. Can I see who did what?

Yes. Actions taken in the dashboard go into an event log - bans, teleports, restarts - along with which admin issued them. The tail of the server log can also be read from the browser.

I use Titan Server Launcher. Do I still have to edit admin.txt?

No. The launcher installation is tied to your dayz-launcher.com account, so the system uses your account automatically: it claims the server for your account on its own and picks up your Steam session from the launcher as your access. The admin.txt step is only needed if the server is not running under the launcher, or if you want to give another Steam account access as well.
